St. Moritz

St. Moritz has been a privileged playground ever since it inaugurated winter tourism almost 150 years ago. It is situated in the beautiful Engadine Valley and offers skiing on a variety of mountains right from the town as well as in surrounding areas. This is not your typical cute mountain village like Zermatt, but rather a town of grandiose stately hotels, Michelin Guide eateries and a luxurious lifestyle.

Few ski aficionados can afford St. Moritz, so this is a spot where the powder often stays untouched for days. The length and dates of the season vary depending on the specific mountain and can be altered year on year depending on weather conditions, as a general rule though, access to the mountains is as follows:
Corvigilia: mid-November until mid-April.
Corvatsch: mid-November until early May.
Diavolezza/Lagalb: mid-September until mid-November, then mid-December until late-May.
