Marigot Bay is certainly one of the most fascinating bays in the Carribean and a perfect destination should you be in need of some ‘escapism’ this winter. Located on the Western coast of Saint Lucia, it is surrounded on three sides by steep, emerald-colored hills, was the historical setting of several battles between the French and Royal Navy, and has been described by numerous authors and writers as the most beautiful bay in the Caribbean.

Luxury travel firm Kipling & Clark have issued a list of their favourite hotels in Asia based on their 6-8 weeks of Asia travel a year.

A ryokan is a type of traditional Japanese hotel dating from the Edo period (1603–1868), when they served travelers along Japan’s highways. They typically featured tatami-matted rooms, communal baths, and other public areas where visitors may wear yukata and talk with the owner.
