The debut of the latest addition to the GQ international family, GQ China is definitely on the right route with their premier issue.
Paying tribute to the “The Beat of the 1980s”, photographer Andreas Sjödin and stylist Mauricio Nardi collaborated under the creative and art direction of Dior Homme’s own Kris van Assche, for a memorable, upbeat and 80s-tastic editorial.
The 80s influence is one of the main trends this season, along with leather and red (in all tones). The Dior Homme message of “Raise Your Voice, Louder, Louder, Louder” pays direct tribute to the Wham!’s “Choose Life” and Frankie Goes To Hollywood’s “Frankie Says Relax” iconic t-shirts from the celebrated decade.
Dior Homme regulars Thiago Santos, Yvan Thiwissen, Louis Borges and Reinaldo Berthoti are dressed in Dior Homme and from Kris van Assche eponymous collection.
A side note, that metal-squares-embroidered knit sweater by Dior Homme is genius, buy it now and keep it forever.
