Further to the recent London event where she became Moet & Chandon’s new face, as I reported live, Scarlett Johansson was on a visit this time for another, just as glamourous, luxury brand: Dolce & Gabbana. Her visit led her to London’s Selfridges, just across the street from my house, on her mission as the face of the new Dolce & Gabbana Make Up line.
A constant traveller, Scarlett was just shooting Iron Man 2 with Gwyneth Paltrow earlier this year in Los Angeles. The inspiration behind the luxurious campaign is evidently a ‘new Marilyn’ and we believe it could not suit Scarlett more.
The Dolce & Gabbana make up collection was released at the beginning of the February at Saks‘ Beverly Hills and Fifth Avenue stores, with colors inspired by vivid blues from the Mediterranean, the dark burgundy shade of dahlia (Gabbana’s favorite flower), and gold and black from Stromboli.
Gabbana said of the newly appointed muse, “Scarlett is sure of herself.” He added, “She’s a beautiful girl, but she’s really easygoing. She is very Dolce & Gabbana.”
